There will be a mandatory check-in at the Toronto Island ferry terminal for all competitors before going over to the competition site. Waivers must be signed in person at this check-in at the city side ferry terminal. All competitors under 18 have a parent or legal guardian accompany them to check-in and sign the waiver. As in past years, your heat list and approximate start time is posted below on this web site, so please keep checking the web site for updates or changes. Please check-in at least 1 hour prior to your heat start time (ferry ride takes 15 minutes and leaves every 1/2 hour on the hour). Check in Times are from 4pm to 8pm on Wednesday July 23rd and again on Thursday morning from 7:30am to 11:30am

Please note that the entry fee DOES NOT include the ferry pass over to Centre Island; these must be purchased at the ferry terminal on Queen's Quay beside the Westin Harbour Castle Hotel.

The Malibu Boats Wakestock Amateur Championship is Canada's largest amateur event, providing a chance to rub shoulders with the top pros and to shine in front of the wakeboard industry. Over 170 amateur wakeboarders compete for fun, glory and $15,000 in prizes. But you don't have to be a top wakeboarder to compete. Wakestock is open to amateur riders of all ages and skill levels, female and male. One of the biggest am categories is the Novice division. If you can ride across the wake, then you can compete in Novice. Other categories include Intermediate and Advanced, and the new Open Masters (for those over 40 years of age). There are divisions for all ages, male and female starting with 11 & Under. The top Advanced riders will qualify for the World Series Pro Expression Session.

Amateur entries numbers are limited. Pre-registration closes Thursday, July 11th 2008 or earlier if maximum participant numbers are reached. There will be no refunds after Thursday, July 17th 2008.

On-site registration for registered competitors:
Wednesday, July 23rd: 4:00pm - 8:00pm
Thursday, July 24th: 7:30am - 11:30am

First heats will run at 9am on Thursday, July 23.

Novice and Intermediate finals for those categories with more than 1 heat will run at the end of the day on Thursday, July 24th as required.

Wakestock is part of the WWA World Series of Wakeboarding, the sports' preeminent professional wakeboarding tour. Wakestock 2008 will feature four separate pro events: Malibu Boats Expression Session, Billabong Railslide, Billabong Wakeskate and the Oakley Launch Pool.
