ISLANDS' WAKEBOARDING COURSE

LONG POND, CENTRE ISLAND
Wakestock makes another exciting leap in its growth and evolution with its move to the Toronto Islands. An unique slice of cottage country just beyond the City, the Islands are a collection of parks and beaches featuring a world class watersports course called "Long Pond".

Wakestock's WWA World Series pro wakeboarding events (Malibu Boats Pro Expression Session, Billabong Pro Railslide Championship, Billabong Pro Wakeskate Championship) and the Wakestock Amateur Wakeboarding Championship will take place on Long Pond, Centre Island.

Long Pond offers a fully protected, private water course with a perfect width and length for wakeboarding. The shoreline on both sides of the course is sloped to minimize wake rebound. The water depth is deep enough down the middle to allow full size wakes, but with a shallow, hard sand bottom close to shore, which perfect for building rails. Best of all, for spectators, the Long Pond site provides unobstructed viewing for the entire length of the course and has a grandstand already in place.

Long Pond was specifically designed as a watersports course and has a long history of hosting international water skiing and rowing events, including the World Water Skiing Championships back in the day.
